Overview
Marina Hachem's work transcends conventional categories, fluidly moving between drawing, painting, object, sculpture, and installation. Utilizing robust materials such as cement, grout, wire, bricks, and wood, her pieces often emanate a raw aesthetic, evoking a sense of ruin.
In her recent series, such as "Essay on the End of the World" and "Still Life," Hachem delves into the complex interactions between humanity and nature, highlighting the contrast between organic and industrial elements. Her works reveal traces in arid and desolate landscapes where cement and clay bear witness to deforestation, drought, and the remnants of human activity.
